Holding a Bachelor of Arts degree from Sam Houston State University, Joel's extensive academic foundation has provided him with a deep understanding of music theory, history, and performance techniques. Joel's musical journey has been characterized by remarkable achievements. His exceptional skills were recognized during his time in the prestigious All State Band. Furthermore, Joel's talents reached an international stage as he became an integral member of the Army Europe Band, captivating audiences with his clarinet prowess and contributing to the musical diplomacy of the armed forces. His commitment to serving his country's musical heritage extended to the Texas Army National Guard, where his performances uplifted spirits and forged connections among his fellow soldiers. When it comes to teaching, Joel believes in taking an individual-based approach with each student. He believes in taking whatever teaching style fits the students individual needs best.
