Jennifer has been immersed in music since childhood, training in guitar, voice, clarinet, saxophone, and music theory. She has performed in ensembles such as the UCSC Big Band Jazz Ensemble from 2017 to 2020 and led the Rusty Suspenders Trad Jazz Band from 2015 to 2017, where she also sang and played clarinet. Since 2022, Jennifer has worked as a music production assistant and occasional session musician, supporting local Austin recording projects with guitar, vocals, clarinet, and vocal harmonies. Outside of her formal roles, she enjoys songwriting, arranging, and performing at open mics, where she sings and plays guitar. Jennifer has been teaching since 2016, with experience ranging from tutoring university students in Italian language to teaching reading and language comprehension skills to children ages 5–18. As a teaching assistant at UT Austin from 2023 to 2025, she taught discussion sections for sociology courses, led workshops, and guided students through long-term writing projects. Across all of her teaching experiences, she has practiced a supportive and approachable style, making her students feel comfortable and motivated to learn. In music lessons, Jennifer brings together her performance background and teaching expertise to create a warm, encouraging space where students can explore their creativity and build confidence. She values each student’s unique interests, and will help them stay motivated whether they want to learn technique, accompany themselves on their favorite songs, or experiment with songwriting. With her varied experience in music and teaching and love for performance, Jennifer is dedicated to helping students discover the joy of making music.

We're social!
“Music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.”
